Connecting and Using Videowise Integration 

This guide helps you set up and use the Videowise integration for your mobile apps. 

Purpose:
In this guide, you’ll learn how to connect Videowise to Reactiv, display your existing Videowise playlists inside your mobile app, and create a full-screen video feed for your shoppers.

Before You Start

To use the Videowise integration with Reactiv, you must:

  • Have Videowise installed on your Shopify store.

  • Have widgets and playlists already created inside Videowise.

If widgets or playlists are not set up in Videowise, you won’t see any selectable options inside Reactiv.

If you need help setting those up, please contact the Videowise support team directly.

Step 1: Connect Videowise in Reactiv

First, you’ll need to connect Videowise in the Integrations section.

  1. In the left-hand navigation, click Integrations.

  2. Find Videowise in the list.

  3. Click Connect.

  4. Follow the prompts to authorize the connection.

Once connected, Videowise will be available inside your app builder.

Step 2: Select Videowise as Your Video Shopping Provider

Next, you’ll confirm Videowise as your video provider inside App Studio.

  1. Go to App Studio.

  2. Click App Settings.

  3. Open the Integrations tab.

  4. Select Videowise as your video shopping provider.

  5. Click Save.

You’re now ready to start adding video components to your app.

Step 3: Add Videowise to Supported Screens

Once enabled, you’ll see the Video section available on supported screens inside the Studio builder.

  1. Open any supported screen (such as your Home screen, PDP, and Landing Pages).

  2. Locate the Video component in the components panel.

  3. Drag the Video component onto the dashboard preview.

  4. Use the dropdown menus in the component settings to:

    • Select a Playlist

These dropdowns will display the playlists and widgets you’ve already created in Videowise.

If no options appear in the dropdowns, double-check that:

  • Videowise is installed on your Shopify store.

  • Playlists and widgets are created inside Videowise.

  • Videowise is selected in App Settings > Integrations.

Creating a Full-Screen Video Feed

You can create a dedicated full-page video experience for your shoppers.

Step 1: Create a Landing Page

  1. Go to App Studio.

  2. Click Landing Pages.

  3. Create a new landing page.

Step 2: Add the Video Component

  1. Drag the Video component onto the page.

  2. Remove any other components from the page.

  3. Use the dropdown to select your desired Playlist.

When the Video component is the only section on the page, Reactiv will automatically display it as a full-screen video feed.

NOTE: Don't forget to add this landing page to your navigation so that shoppers can find it and use it. 

Previewing Your Videos

Videos will not display inside the Studio builder preview.

To view your videos:

  1. Click Save.

  2. Publish your app.

  3. Open the live version of your app to see the videos.

This is expected behavior.
