Setting Up Searchspring Product Recommendations with Reactiv

Learn how to connect Searchspring with Reactiv so you can power your app’s product recommendations using Athos instead of Shopify.

Introduction

Enhance your Reactiv mobile app product recommendations with Searchspring. When enabled, Searchspring will power products shown on product recommendations carousels.

Prerequisites

Athos Account - Athos is enabled on your online store. Contact Athos for assistance with online store setup

Integration Credentials - Open the Athos App or log into the Searchspring Management Console and obtain the following:

  1. Searchspring Site ID
  2. Product ID Field - The field name that contains the Shopify product ID (e.g. "parentId")

 

Step-by-Step Setup 

Step 1: Enable Searchspring Integration

  1. Log in to your Reactiv dashboard and navigate to the Integrations page.

  2. Find Searchspring Product Recommendations under the Discovery, Search & Personalization section.

  3. Click on the Connect button to start the setup

  4. Enter the Site ID, Product ID Field

  5. Click Connect

Step 2: Set Athos as Provider

  1. In the Reactiv Dashboard, click your store logo to open App Settings in the App Studio.

  2. Navigate to Integrations.

  3. Under Product Recommendations select Searchspring as your provider.

  4. Click Save.

Once enabled, your app’s search and collections will be powered by Athos.

 

Step 3: Add and Configure Carousels

  1. In the App Builder, drag a Product Recommendation carousel onto the screen you want (currently supported on Product Detail Page (PDP) and Cart screens)

  2. Add a title to the carousel section, and select the maximum number of products you would like to show.

  3. Configure each carousel by entering the correct Profile Tag from your Athos account

  4. Click Save before starting your next build, and your recommendation carousels will now display in your app.

Once setup is complete, you’re all set to test your recommendations in the preview app.
